Liberals are opposed to capitalism. Either they don't understand
supply and demand, or worse, they do understand economics but they
prefer to have the government control and tax every transaction. Such
an economic system is called Marxism, and it just doesn't work. Socialism
and Marxism are just a small step away from all-out Communism.
This page is all high taxes, the welfare state, and the liberals' quest
for a state of utopia that can never be.

Unappeasable money hunger:
Liberalism is a movement without definable goals. Drifting ever leftward, it moves toward distant mirages
forever vanishing and reappearing on a horizon that is never reached. Nowhere is this clearer than in the
liberal media's incessant push for revenue increases from those already paying the overwhelming majority of
federal taxes.
Detroit:
The City That Liberalism Ruined. Detroit suffers from every possible malady except a plague of
locusts, and that's only because they find urban living uncongenial. The city has a revitalized downtown,
but all around it, the city rots. Forbes magazine declared Detroit "America's Most Miserable City," on
the basis of its unemployment and crime rates, among other things. The unemployment rate of 8.2 percent
is the highest of any major urban area in the nation, and its homicide rate is higher than New York's in the
bad old days of the early 1990s. The city has lost 1 million residents since 1950.
Why artists hate
conservatives: Starving artist is not a misnomer or stereotype.
Artists are generally
very liberal because they can't afford decent housing, private education for their children, medical expenses,
or retirement funds. They tend not to be religious anymore, so they can't ask such communities for help,
so they turn to government. They generally do not receive the approval of their fathers if their dads are
traditionally masculine types, and receiving the approval of dads who are wimpy is not that much better.
In both cases they feel marginalized and inadequate. Anger at the father leads to atheism, rebelliousness,
and animosity to tradition.
Communism Morphed to
Socialism and Still Targets America. It is time to look again at some of the
communist goals:
• Capture one or both of the political parties in the US.
• Use technical decisions of the courts to weaken basic
American institutions, by claiming their activities violate civil rights.
• Infiltrate the press.
• Gain control of key positions in radio, TV and motion pictures.
• Infiltrate the churches and replace revealed religion with "social" religion.
• Eliminate prayer or any phase of religious expression in schools
on the grounds that it violates the principle of "separation of church and state."
• Discredit the American founding fathers.
• Belittle all forms of American culture and discourage teaching of American
history.
Socialism
makes people worse. Enough generations of socialist policies have now passed for us
to judge their effects. They are bleak. Socialism undermines the character of a nation
and of its citizens.
Democrats
promise cheaper drugs and a higher minimum wage. If they retake control of Congress, Democrats
will act quickly to increase the minimum wage, lower prescription drug costs and slash interest rates on
student loans, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi said Saturday [6/17/2006].
Idiot Compassion: It's
time we revealed this sham pretension of compassion for what it is: a reckless disregard for reason and
judgment, disguised in the touchy-feely cover of political correctness.
Liberal goal for
America: Gutless socialism. The United States of America is drifting away from
capitalism and its free-market foundations toward a gutless brand of socialism. Yet unlike the
tyrannical dictators who ruled communist nations in the 20th Century, congressional liberals lack the
guts to tell the public their true intentions. Those intentions are motivated by the Marxist
philosophy of "From each according to his abilities, to each according to his needs."
Riots in the welfare
state. France is a welfare state. The government controls the economy. Unions
rule. Bureaucracies fight market forces so as to benefit factory workers, farmers, and civil
servants. Wages are high, vacations are long, and benefits are generous. That means
French businesses cannot afford to hire people who need jobs.
She's serious!
Should Democratic
Party merge with Communist Party? If you belong to the Democratic Party, I urge
you to take the time to study the platform of your party and compare them to the goals of the
communists. They are one and the same, although this will bring shrieks from the
likes of Marxist Hillary Clinton, it is the raw truth.
The left
hates inequality, not evil. How else can one explain the Left's enchantment with Fidel
Castro, the totalitarian ruler of Cuba? Clearly his evil is of little consequence. What
matters to people on the Left is that there is free health care and almost universal literacy in
Cuba. Whereas non-leftists believe that it is far better to be illiterate but free, leftists
believe that it is better to be a literate slave.
Moveon.org
Embraces Nazi Defender. If moveon.org had done its homework — and who are
we kidding; of course it did — the George Soros-backed organization would have known
that it was embracing a most repugnant "progressive" group.
Ignoring economics: Part
III. Liberals especially tend to think up all sorts of good things we want —
a "living wage," "affordable housing," "universal health care," and an ever-expanding wish-list of
things everyone should receive as "rights" — with little or no awareness of the economic
repercussions of turning that wish list into laws.
No Leniency
For Leftist Hatemongers. As the event approached, many leftists complained
of the timing because it was scheduled on a day to "celebrate" Cesar Chavez. A city
commissioner, faculty members, and others all expressed their outrage that the conservatives would
dare schedule a counter program to their events. This is a typical tactic of campus
leftists. They always create an excuse in an attempt to cancel an event or silence
ideas they dislike. They purport our events' promotional materials to be "offensive" or
that the event is held on the wrong date. These complaints
only underscore the Left's insecurities.
Liberals
Are Always Wrong. Liberals don't know what makes capitalism work. It isn't
income redistribution or higher taxes on "the rich." It isn't rewarding people for their
stupidity or laziness. It isn't more regulation or more government. There isn't a
fixed size pie of wealth that must be carved up and distributed. What makes capitalism flourish
is less government and lower taxes.
Mass.
exodus: This is a state in which a tax cut can be decisively approved by the voters
yet never go into effect. In which grocers can be prosecuted for pricing milk too low. In
which archaic blue laws decree when shops may and may not open for business. In which local officials
have been known to heatedly object to opening town meetings with the Pledge of Allegiance. In which
a $2 billion Big Dig ends up costing $14 billion. In which Ted Kennedy keeps getting
reelected. Is it really any wonder so many people are fleeing Massachusetts? Maybe the
real mystery is why so many of us stay.
Oh,
Canada. If you want to see what an advanced state of moral relativism looks
like, if you want to know where knee-jerk political correctness leads, if you want to get an
idea of how the mental illness known as "progressive thought" can spread through an entire
country, if you want to know where we're headed, look north.
Control of the Future Through Control of the Schools:
Humanists know that the future of our country rests with our children. Therefore, in order to control the
future of our country, they must control the minds of our children. And the easiest way to control our
children is to control the schools. Radical left-wing writers … incessantly rail against parental
"interference" in schools, because, as they openly acknowledge, "The Left can't survive politically without a
public school system to spread leftist attitudes."
The Tyranny of Liberalism: The
development of liberalism has reversed its original principles. Rather than let society control the state,
a more ambitious liberalism now makes the state control society. In spite of claims of neutrality, liberalism
establishes an enforceable official morality that supports a definite way of life. The rational way beyond
liberalism is to discuss the questions it avoids and cannot answer. Intellectually, liberalism cannot survive
their free discussion.
Senator Kennedy speaking "clearly":
On the economy, Kerry complained about the deficits, but his domestic agenda would have added billions upon billions
of spending increases. Likewise, Kennedy, on domestic issues, offers the same fantasy panacea across the board.
Read his speech. From health care, to poverty, to education, we are not spending enough federal money.
A taxing experience: When
liberals in the media or in politics start being alarmed about the national debt, it means just one thing: They
want higher taxes. The thought of reducing spending would never cross their minds.
Disastrous utopia:
Socialism is a wonderful idea. It is only as a reality that it has been disastrous. Among people of
every race, color, and creed, all around the world, socialism has led to hunger in countries that used to have
surplus food to export.
Collectives,
Communities, and The Individual: During the nineteenth century socialism was but a theory to be debated;
during the twentieth century, however, socialism became a reality to be observed. The bare bones of theory took
on flesh, countless variants of the socialist state being established. The result was unambiguous.
Without exception, the attempt to coordinate the productive activities of men and women by the edicts of central
planners proved disastrous. Dreams of increased abundance were shattered against the reality of experienced
destitution. Today socialist theorists have begun openly to suggest that failure in practice is indicative
of a drastic error in theory.
Asleep at the wheel. In spite
of what you hear from your government school teacher, your leftist college professor, or that smiling talking head on
television, we are not a democracy. Never were. Weren't supposed to be. You won't find the word
"democracy" in the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution of the United States or in any constitution of any of
the 50 States. There's a reason for that. Our founding fathers hated the idea of democracy. They
knew that a government of majority rule would dissolve into a tyranny of plunder and chaos.
